    Jane and Bill Anderson of Statesboro announce, with great pleasure, the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Jane Anderson, to Nicholas R. Achin of Plymouth, Mass. Nick is the son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Raymond R. Achin, USAF (Ret) of Marshfield, Mass.
    Laurie Jane is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aulbert J. Brannen Sr. of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. William S. Anderson of Chicago, Ill. She is the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Aulbert J. Brannen Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Brannen of Statesboro. The bride-to-be graduated from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., in 2003 with a BA degree in Developmental Drama and will receive her MA in Deaf Education from Gallaudet in May 2008. She has also been employed for the past four years as a “Teaching Fellow” at Gallaudet’s Model Secondary School for the Deaf, where she was recently promoted to “Lead Teacher for Elective Studies”.
    The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Achin of North Attelboro, Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Click of Lebanon, Ind. Nick attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y., where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He is employed with Atlantic Properties (General Contractor) in Plymouth, Mass., as a project manager.
    Laurie and Nick plan to wed October 25, 2008, in Statesboro. They will then make their home in Plymouth, Mass.
