Mr. and Mrs. Ivy Polk of Millen celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on November 1, 2006. The celebration was held at their home in Millen and hosted by their children, Betty Steele, Leola Polk, Lonnie (Pauline) Polk, Laura (Johnny) Freeman, Troy Polk, Ruby (Lennell) Boston, Mamie Polk, George (Linda) Polk, Leo Polk, Ona Cooper and Edna Polk. The couple was married November 1, 1941. They have 29 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
