There has never been a shortage of stellar high school athletes roaming the fields around Statesboro. On Oct. 23, another handful of former stars will be honored as the Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame inducts its 2014 class. The hall of fame — which was thought up by Steve Brooks and Clark Collins in 1985 and elected its first class in 1988 — votes in a new class once every three years.
