REIDSVILLE — The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets handed Tattnall County only its fourth loss of the season, winning 12-7 Tuesday on the road.
The Yellow Jackets (10-6) got five solid innings out of starting pitcher Ryan Adams, and Keagen Carter earned the save.
A bulk of the runs were driven in by Tyler Epps (4 RBIs), Ryan Adams (3) and Tyler Brown (2).
Carter went 4-for-4.
The Jackets resume action Tuesday at home against Appling County.
Statesboro golf wins tight match
The Statesboro Blue Devils shot 341 on Tuesday at Forest Heights to edge Wayne County (343) and Burke County (344).
The Blue Devils were led by Trevor Daily (81), Cameron Shield (83), Clay Cribbs (87), Sarah Jane Bowers (90) and Jordan Woody (90).
SEBMS dominates William James
BROOKLET — Southeast Bulloch Middle School dominated William James, 10-0, on Tuesday.
Bryce Harnage threw a complete-game three hitter and Joe Ham, Adam Akins and Louis Hardin each went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
The Yellow Jackets will host a region playoff game on Monday at 4 p.m.
Screven tops ELHS
SYLVANIA — The Screven County Gamecocks cruised past East Laurens, 7-2, Tuesday at home.
Screven (7-6, 4-2 Region 3-AA) pitcher Caleb Krulick earned the win, allowing no runs and striking out eight in 3.1 innings of work.
