Bulloch Academy alumna Heaven Hinton, 20-year-old daughter of Tina Hendrix and Dennis Hinton, recently signed a scholarship to attend Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville and extend her collegiate softball career.
Hinton, who graduated from Bulloch Academy in 2010, received her first softball scholarship from East Georgia College in Swainsboro. She helped build the inaugural Lady Bobcat program and played for two seasons, batting .385 and hitting nine home runs last year.
After graduating with an associate’s degree in exercise and health science, she was offered the opportunity to extend her playing and academic career by GGC.
The GGC Lady Grizzlies will play their first-ever NAIA softball schedule in the spring of 2013.
