Georgia Southern announced the hiring of Kelly Carter as the Eagles’ new cross country and track and field head coach on Thursday. Carter replaces Marlo Mincey, who resigned effective June 30, after taking over the program in 2011. Carter comes to Georgia Southern after three years as an assistant coach at Middle Tennessee State, working primarily with the Blue Raiders sprinters and hurdlers.
