The Georgia Southern golf team has had to wait two years to defend their Schenkel Invitational title. Last year’s tournament was cancelled the day before it was set to tee off at Forest Heights Country Club due to the COVID pandemic. Friday saw beautiful blue skies and some pretty impressive scoring, and after the dust settled the Eagles found themselves two strokes back of current leader N.C.
