Mrs. Janie Jonas, age 69, passed away at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
She was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., but resided in Statesboro for the past 11 years.
She was a member of Scarboro Grove Baptist Church in Portal, Ga.
She is survived by her children, Chantelle Bowe of Metter, Ga.; Rev. Grant (Kristell) Turner of Statesboro, Ga.; and Charles Bowe of Atlanta, Ga.; her sister, Rose Stevens of Lantana, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 3 p.m.–7 p.m., and visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m.–7 p.m. in the Statesboro Chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc.
A celebration of life service will be held graveside on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Scarboro Grove Baptist Church, 660 CI Woods Road, Portal, GA 30450. Rev. Grant Turner will be the eulogist.
CDC and COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced at the walk-through viewing and graveside celebration of life service. Social distancing and masks required.
