Mr. Harry Charley Strickland

Mr. Harry Charley Strickland, age 82, died on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023, at his home under the care of Gentiva Hospice.

Harry was born on March 28th, 1941, in Hall County, Georgia, to the late Benjamin Franklin Strickland and Amanda Pearl Garner Strickland.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and later moved to Bulloch County in 1977.

Harry owned and operated Quality Exterminators for over 40 years.

He was an avid fan and supporter of Georgia Southern football, loved playing golf and fishing at the beach.

Harry was also a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a brother, Zeke Strickland.

Harry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl Forbes Strickland; his three children, Billy and Normi Strickland, Harriett Hodges and Matthew and Kerry Hendrix; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers, Esco Strickland, Frankie Strickland and Jack Strickland; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family gives special thanks to the nurses at Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care in Harry’s final days.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
