Jacquelyn Gordon White, 63, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
    Jackie was a Screven County native, but has resided in Bulloch County for many years. She attended the public schools of Screven County and was a seamstress.
    On February 17, 2018, Jackie was married to Mr. Ervin White. As a result of this union, her faith in God grew stronger and their happiness was immeasurable.
    She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister and grandmother and wore many hats when she departed this life.
    Jackie leaves to cherish and honor her memory: her loving husband, Lennon Ervin White of Statesboro, Ga.; her fathers, Elisha Gordon Jr. and Rufus Gordon Sr., both of Sylvania, Ga.; her devoted children, Vanzena L. Johnson of Waynesboro, Ga.; Randal A. Johnson of Rincon, Ga.; and Quentin J. Peters of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Charles Gordon (Ortrene) of Lithonia, Ga.; Timothy Gordon (Shandra) of Statesboro, Ga.; Rufus Gordon Jr. of Oliver, Ga.; John C. Gordon of Garden City, Ga.; Raymond Gordon (Robin), Elisha Gordon III (Beverly) and Anthony Gordon (Sybil), all of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; sisters, Diane Scott (Gary) of Grand Cayman, Renea Bell (Jerome) of Statesboro, Ga.; Carolyn Gordon, Dianne L. Lewis and Melody Williams, all of Sylvania, Ga.; foster son, Kawaici Lindsey of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of uncles, aunts, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
    Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019, from noon until 6 p.m. in Gaines Funeral Home Chapel.
    Mrs. White will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
    A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Mission Outreach Ministries, Statesboro, Ga. Interment will be in Friendship Memorial Cemetery, Sylvania, Ga.
    Gaines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
