Betty Adams Hood, age 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Ogeechee Area Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

She was also a member of the God’s Companion Group.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hugh Lawrence Hood Jr.
Mrs. Hood is survived by her children, Barbara Lanier and her husband, Billy, of Nevils; Joseph Hood and his wife, Pat; Jack Hood and his wife, Karen; Jimmy Hood and H.L. Hood III, all of Bulloch County; sisters, Katie Adams and Dorthey A. Holtz, both of Savannah; Joan A. McElveen and her husband, Kenneth, of Brooklet; and June A. Harville and her husband, Kenneth, of Statesboro; brothers, Dean Adams and his wife, Jean, of Pembroke; and Leon Adams and his wife, Gail, of Ellabell; eight grandchildren, Christy L. Inman, Leigh L. Price, Dana Marie Haas, Michael Hood, Jennifer Hood, Allen Hood, Brandon Hood and Joseph Hood; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Eason officiating. The burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Allen Hood, Brandon Hood, Joseph Hood, Michael Hood, Billy Haas, Roger Inman, Michael Price and Christopher McKinney.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Roscoe Roberts Sunday School Class.
