William Lovett Bennett, formerly of Statesboro, was admitted to the New York Bar Association in ceremonies held in New York City in June.

Bennett, 31, is a graduate of Statesboro High School, and the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Avian Biology.

A 2018 magna cum laude graduate of the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, Macon, Georgia, Bennett was a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society and served on the Mercer Law Review. 

Bennett is employed as an associate in the law firm of Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw, Pittman in New York City. 

Bennett is married to Megan Ann Troutt, formerly of Alpharetta, Ga., and has one daughter, Lucy Ann Bennett. The Bennetts reside in New York City.

Bennett is the son of Judge Lovett Bennett, Jr., and Missy Mallard Bennett. He is the grandson of the late Lovett Bennett (Sr.) and Sara Neville Bennett and of the late Walter Hampton Mallard and La Rue Tyson Mallard, all of Statesboro.
