Statesboro police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday at a South Main Street business.
Det. Scott Brunson is looking into the robbery, which occurred at Tobacco & More around 10:48 p.m. Sunday, according to reports.
The victim said an unknown person with a gun entered the store through the front door and demanded cash, leaving with a significant amount of money from the cash drawer.
No injuries were reported. No description of the suspect was available in reports Monday.
Police have not said the armed robbery could be connected to an armed robbery reported near Georgia Southern University's campus, where police were searching Friday for three black males, wearing red and white clothing, riding in a white Acura. Further information on that incident was unavailable Monday.
