A teenager whose body was found Thursday in Swainsboro was killed by her boyfriend, according to Georgia Bureau of Investigation reports.

LaTravis Bady, 36, was arrested Friday on charges he killed Alexius Seafus, 18, whose body was discovered by a search party Thursday, said Jamie Jones, assistant special agent-in-charge with the Region 12 GBI office in Eastman.

Seafus had been missing since May 31 and was last seen leaving her West Moring Street home, he said. Her body was discovered in some woods, concealed, behind the home she shared with Bady and a roommate.

Swainsboro police contacted the GBI after Seafus' body was found, and state agents took over the investigation. Evidence led to Bady's arrest in Twin City, a short drive from Swainsboro. Jones said Bady is originally from Twin City.

Jones would not comment on how Seafus was killed, nor how her body had been concealed, but said, "The way the body was found indicated it was homicide."

Swainsboro police continue to assist the GBI's Eastman office with the investigation. Bady is being held without bond in the Emanuel County Jail, according to jail records.
