Students flock to Georgia Southern for new school year

While enrollment numbers won't be finalized until October, Georgia Southern University is expected to set several records for the 2025 Fall semester that began Wednesday. The university projects an enrollment of more than 29,000 students, which would be an institutional record and also a record-breaking freshman class of nearly 6,000 students is expected. The 29,000+ students anticipated for the Fall semester would surpass last year's record enrollment of 27,506.
