Statesboro police: Alcohol compliance checks revealed 9 violations

The Statesboro Police Department found nine businesses in violation of the prohibition against selling alcohol to underage customers during Alcohol Beverage Control Operations that took place Thursday through Saturday. During the ABC Operations, police officers checked 38 businesses. Eight of the violations were found at retail establishments that sell alcohol for off-premises consumption, such as convenience stores and grocery stores.
