Congratulations to all of our great businesses here in Statesboro that fly the Georgia Southern flag in front of their stores. We've got a wonderful university here ... and we all need to support it. After all, where would good ol' Statesboro be without Georgia Southern University? Don't our local businesses want the students and their families shopping at their stores?

What is wrong with the people that live in Statesboro? ... Why aren't all of our streets just lined with the American flag waving bravely in the breeze? ... We certainly have just a few moments it would take to put out the flag pole just five times a year. ... People, look at yourself. What is wrong with the people in Statesboro?!

I think it's absurd that Stilson Elementary School would even think about not havin' a fall festival this year ... at Stilson. ... I think it's just ... the PTO reps are bein' lazy about it. They don't wanna do anything about it. I think it's ... ridiculous. Stilson has always had a fall festival every year and now they're not wantin' to do one.

Tuesday, September 7th ... headline, 'Baptists request aid from the city.' Lemme get this straight. ... If I'm an atheist, does this mean that my tax dollars will help to buy water line ... for the Baptists?

If the city adopts speed limits on the city streets to use radar, make the speed limit on Northside Drive more consistent where they already use radar.

The real definition for P-E-T-A ... should be ... 'People Eating ... Tasty Animals.'

This is in response to the weed garden growin' in front of the Averitt Center. The sub-contractor made a mistake. The entire plant bed is being irrigated instead of the individual plants being irrigated. Also, now when the irrigation's turned on, portions of the streets ... and sidewalks are being soaked as well ... which is causing a mess with foot and car traffic. Looks like the contractor will correct his mistake. Until they do, we'll continue to have ... weeds growin'.

    Today is the third city council meeting in a row … that our city manager has chosen to be absent. … Has he resigned or is he just waiting to resign?
