At the annual agricultural competition in Perry, Southeast Bulloch Middle School's National FFA Organization Chapter won the Area 4 Middle School Region Rally championship.
Held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter on Sept. 10. SEB Middle students earned the following awards:
• Shelby Underwood — First place in Animal Science Identification
• Lawton Elmore — First place in Agricultural Mechanics Identification
• Jaycee Jobba — First place in Horticulture Identification
• Harrison Thigpen, Nathan Newman, Lawton Elmore and Gibson Waters — First place in Agricultural Mechanics Relay
The National FFA Organization is a technical student organization that is part of Southeast Bulloch's agricultural education program. FFA provides students leadership, team and skills building, and competition opportunities. The chapter is led by Lexi Cindrick, the school's agriculture teacher.
Middle School Agriculture Education is a career pathway within Bulloch County Schools' Career Technical & Agricultural Education program, a learning option within the school district's College & Career Academy.
