SAVANNAH — For those who could escape work —and thousands of green-garbed tourists and locals did — Tuesday turned out to be a nearly perfect day to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Savannah. Sunny weather brought an early taste of spring to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Georgia's oldest city, where the South's biggest celebration of the Irish holiday began 191 years ago.
