A prayer vigil will be held in honor of the late Eric Alexander Reese on behalf of his family, friends and the Bulloch County Community on Thursday at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church located at 102 Peachtree St., off of Johnson Street in Statesboro.

Following the prayers by various community ministers, participants will be escorted to 230 Lanier Drive at Park Place Villas, Apartment #289, for a candlelight ceremony.

Reese, 46, was shot to death Friday evening at Park Place Apartments. Lester Parrish, 17, of University Pointe Apartments, has been charged with murder and other offenses in connection with the shooting.
