A man and a woman were each arrested on methamphetamine charges after being found sleeping in a car.

▲ SILK LANE — Deputies mediated between two people who argued and shoved each other during a domestic dispute.

▲ COUNTRY CLUB ROAD/FRANKLIN LANE — A man reported as walking in yards and along the roads was found to have an active probation warrant and was arrested.

▲ BURKHALTER ROAD/FIVE POINTS STORE — A man reported a suspicious vehicle — a white 1999 Jaguar — that had been seen in previous incidents. He said the driver drove slowly through the area. The driver told deputies he delivered an “unknown item” to a friend and was biding time waiting, so he drove through the Berkshire subdivision.

▲ BELIEVER’S CHURCH — A man and a woman were each arrested on methamphetamine charges after being found sleeping in a car.

▲ LAKEVIEW ROAD — A woman said her goats escaped, and a couple stopped to help. They could not get the goats to come back into the fence, so the woman left to get some goat feed to lure them. When she returned to her truck, her purse was gone.

▲ HIGHWAY 119 CONNECTOR — Someone reported the theft of a generator.

▲ GUS DENMARK LANE — A deputy responding to a suspicious person call found a “heavily tattooed” man standing in a ditch, picking up rocks. The man said he was looking for arrowheads and unusual rocks, but the deputy made him leave  at the landowner’s request. The deputy later found the same man riding around the same area in a white van with no tag and stopped him. The deputy smelled marijuana burning and learned the suspect had marijuana on his person. He was arrested on marijuana charges and served with a criminal trespass warning for the private property on which he was found.

▲ THOMPKIN DRIVE — A man said someone shot a gun and the round came through his window and landed on the floor. The offenders were not found.

▲ ELDORA CEMETERY ROAD — A woman who was being arrested for involvement in an assault also struck a deputy with her fist while being taken into custody.

▲ PINE INN ESTATES — Deputies responding to a domestic dispute also found marijuana and a drug-related object on the kitchen counter, in plain view. A man was arrested.

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — A woman said her boyfriend grabbed and shoved her during an argument.

▲ FAIR ROAD — A complainant wanted an unwanted person removed from the property. Damage to a car was later discovered, and someone was arrested in connection to the act.

▲ SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — Officers responded to a reported domestic dispute. No one was arrested or charged.

▲ QUALITY INN — Officers met with an elderly woman who appeared to be physically unharmed, but was making comments that “made no sense.” She was taken to a hospital.

➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued four traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.

▲ SUSPICIOUS PERSONS REPORTED — Complainants reported suspicious persons/activities at the following locations: Veteran’s Memorial Parkway/Akins Boulevard, Freedom’s Landing, Southern Pines Building 1, Centennial Place Building 2, Old Register Road and Centennial Place.

▲ STOLEN BICYCLES — People reported thefts of bikes at the following locations: Southern Pines Apartments, Southern Courtyard and Eagle Village.

▲ SOUTH CAMPUS — Someone was arrested on charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession/use of drug-related objects.

▲ LOT 33 — Someone was arrested on DUI and various traffic charges.

▲ MATH/PHYSICS BUILDING — A person was arrested on underage possession of alcohol and false ID charges.

▲ HENDERSON LIBRARY — Officers responded to a call about a verbal altercation.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — Someone was arrested on DUI, headlight violations and open container charges.

▲ EAGLE VILLAGE — Someone issued a drug complaint.

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING— Officers responded to a drug complaint.

▲ THREE TREE COFFEE — Officers assisted Statesboro police with an unspecified call.

▲ LOT 21 — Someone reported a suspicious person/activities. 

▲ SOUTHERN PINES APARTMENTS — Someone reported being harassed.
