Incidents
    GARDEN DISTRICT APARTMENTS — A woman told police around 1:20 a.m. Sunday that a man struck her in the face and pulled her hair. She said she wanted him to leave. Warrant procedures were explained.
    EAST OLLIFF STREET — A woman told police around 4:30 p.m. Saturday that a man struck her in the head.
    SOUTH MAIN/BENNETT STREETS — A woman was arrested during a traffic stop around 5 a.m. Saturday for possession of a stolen firearm.
    COPPER BEECH TOWNHOUSES — Police spoke with a man at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in reference to an aggravated assault around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Reports listed few details, but stated the incident involved a knife or cutting tool. The incident is under investigation.
    CAMPUS CROSSINGS — Police responded to a reported fight around 2:45 a.m. Saturday. The offenders fled but a victim, located in an apartment, told police he did not recall what happened. He suffered cuts on his face and hands.
    BIGSHOW’S BURGERS AND BAR — (Lanier Drive) A man was cited around 11 p.m. Thursday for furnishing alcohol to underage persons during a compliance check.
    GATA’S — A woman was cited around 11:40 p.m. Thursday for selling alcohol to underage persons during a compliance check.
    EAGLE CREEK TOWNHOUSES — Two women told police around 4:20 p.m. Sunday that a man kept one of them from leaving an apartment when she wanted and threatened another with harm if he was arrested for the incident.
    MORRIS HEIGHTS APARTMENTS — Police investigated gang-related activity involving spray-painted graffiti on several buildings around 7:15 p.m. Friday.

    Shamir Derod Yates, 23, East Eight Street, Savannah — simple battery, obstruction.
    Ana Marie Bussell, 20, U.S. Highway 301 South — maintaining a disorderly house.

Incidents
    EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER — A woman told deputies around 6:10 p.m. Saturday that she fell and tripped when attending to her husband’s needs after he threw an unknown object to get her attention. She stated that the visible injuries she sustained were not due to a domestic dispute.

Arrests
    Geoffrey Kontoh, 35, Beverly Street, Hinesville — DUI, speeding.
    Walter Dupree Jr., 52, Stonington Trace Parkway, Stone Mountain, Ga. — DUI, open container, speeding.
    Juvon Kennedy, 20, Aquinnah Drive, Pooler — DUI, too fast for conditions, violation of the “move over” law.
    James Edward Powell, 35, MP Martin Road, Brooklet — open container, DUI.
    Michelle Rosa, 37, U.S. Highway 301 South — DUI, improper U-turn, seat belt violation.

Incidents
    Troopers issued 21 seat belt citations, 14 speeding citations and 60 total citations.
    Troopers also investigated 24 crashes with seven reported injuries; issued 28 seat belt warnings, 23 speeding warnings and 108 total warnings; and assisted one motorist.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
