Statesboro Police Department
WAL-MART SUPERCENTER - A woman reported being approached by an elderly man who asked intrusive questions of her. Police did not locate the man.
In a separate incident, a shoplifter was arrested for stealing $83 worth of food.
Another incident involved shoplifters who were arrested after taking $74 worth of food and $80 worth of furniture items.
WAL-MART NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET - A shoplifter was arrested for taking two alcoholic beverages worth $2.50 each and other grocery items totaling $25.
In a separate incident, a woman reported a man stalked and accosted her.
HIGHWAY 67 - Police broke up a large party at a residence. Reports did not include the specific location.
In a separate report about a large party, one person was arrested for obstruction.
BALDWIN STREET - A woman found a handgun under her couch while cleaning. She called police, who turned it over to the Statesboro-Bulloch County Crime Suppression Team.
FAIR ROAD - Police responded to reports of a fight. A man said he and several others were involved. Reports did not specify a certain location, and no arrests were made.
CONE HOMES - A woman reported a white 1993 Oldsmobile 98 stolen. It was recovered after being involved in another incident in the city; reports did not specify what happened in that incident.
LANIER DRIVE - A man at an unspecified restaurant reported being threatened by a tow truck driver.
BRANNEN STREET - Police responded to an undisclosed restaurant for a reckless conduct call, where a man was arrested for firing a gun.
CHANDLER ROAD - Three women were in a car when a man struck one of them, then pulled and pointed a gun at them, according to reports.
In another incident, a man "hindered and obstructed" officers responding to a gun complaint. He was arrested. Reports did not include specific locations.
NORTH MAIN STREET - A man was injured during an altercation. He was treated by EMS and given advice on seeking warrants.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
SOUTHEAST BULLOCH MIDDLE SCHOOL - A student was caught with wine in a water container and admitted drinking while in school.
LAWRENCE CHURCH ROAD - A woman called deputies and animal control about her neighbor's pigs being on her porch and eating her corn. As she spoke with deputies, her neighbor drove up and started cursing her. When deputies advised him to keep his pigs in a pen, he showed them a pen he had just built and said the neighbor's chickens come onto his property and porch. The woman was advised to keep her chickens penned as well.
KERMIT DRIVE - A woman said her husband, from whom she is separated, choked her during an argument about her drinking at home.

Georgia Southern University
Officers issued seven traffic citations and 10 traffic warnings and assisted 12 motorists Friday through Sunday.

Georgia State Patrol
Troopers investigated 22 crashes with seven reported injuries and no reported fatalities Friday through Monday.
