Police report - 9-13-14; A man took a kitchen faucet from a shelf and tried to get a refund for it.

    Patrick Covington, 44, Paradise Lane, Surprise, Ariz. — DUI (refused test), failure to maintain lane.
    Curt Edward Cartee, 42, Prince Way — wanted person.
    Bautista Francisco Ventura, 48, Thunder Road, Claxton — driving without a valid license, suspended registration.

    DONNIE SIMMONS WAY — A student at the Cedarwood alternative school program became unruly, throwing things, yelling and hitting doors around 10 a.m. Thursday. He was arrested.
    WALMART — A man took a kitchen faucet from a shelf and tried to get a refund for it, using false identification, around 5:45 p.m. Thursday. He left and was not arrested.
    WILDWOOD VILLAS — Police responded around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday to a call from the Department of Family and Children Services regarding a child cruelty and battery case. No arrest was listed, but the incident is under investigation.
    EAGLE FLEA AND CONSIGNMENT — A woman tried to shoplift a pair of shorts around 11:20 a.m. Thursday. The store employee retrieved the shorts, and the woman was served with criminal trespass.

    Debra Ann Howell, 56, Lotts Creek Road, Twin City — theft by deception.
    James Bronson Belval, 44, 34th Street, St. Petersburg, Fla. — felony theft by shoplifting.
    Deantonio Shanard Edwards, 25, Eagle Court — sale of marijuana, sale of cocaine, unlawful use of communications facilities, marijuana possession with intent to distribute,  cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

    Incidents Thursday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

    Ryan Lowes Glover, 19, Camelot Court — underage possession of alcohol, public indecency, possession of a false ID document.

    Officers issued one traffic citation and assisted three motorists Wednesday.
    Officers issued one citation and one traffic warning and assisted seven motorists Thursday.
    SOUTHERN PINES — Two suspects were judicially referred to university officials after officers found a small amount of marijuana in their room around 12:44 a.m. Sept. 6. No arrests were made.
