Police report, 8/31
A woman reported receiving a voice mail message stating she had a warrant for her arrest and she needed to send money to avoid jail. Deputies listened to the call and determined it was an attempt at a scam.

INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ BOWEN LANE — A man said he suspects a tenant he evicted is still living on the property in a camper. There is a camper and truck still on the property although the home was vacated, he said.

▲ BULLOCH COUNTY ANNEX — A woman reported receiving a voice mail message stating she had a warrant for her arrest and she needed to send money to avoid jail. Deputies listened to the call and determined it was an attempt at a scam.

▲ ANDERSON PARRISH LANE — Someone reported a window shattered, but nothing appeared to be missing and there was no indication anyone entered the home.

▲ REBEKAH ROAD — A woman said her boyfriend of 10 years threw a bag of shoes at her, striking her in the head and causing visible injury. He also yelled at her, she said. They were arguing because he would spend the night elsewhere and return to stay with her during the day and she told him to get out. Deputies issued warrants for the man’s arrest.

➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued five traffic citations and three traffic warning and assisted six motorists.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Officers assisted Statesboro police on an unspecified call.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE — Someone reported a suspicious person/activities.
