STATESBORO POLICE
Arrests
    Javier Castro Calderon, 26, Pamela Way — no license, no insurance.
    Marquis Jabre Williams, 18, West 36th Street, Savannah — theft by shoplifting (third offense), criminal trespass, giving false information.
    Walter James Cook, 19, Statesboro Place Circle — theft by deception, theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction.

Incidents
    NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — Two central air-conditioner units were stolen from behind a doctor’s office.
    CAMPUS CROSSINGS APARTMENTS — Someone stole a TV. Another resident reported a TV, computer, credit cards, wallet and other items stolen from a separate apartment.
    WALMART — A man shoplifted a sports bra, two other bras, a neon pink shirt, boys’ socks and a T-shirt. It was his third offense, and he violated an order banning him from the store shoplift again.
    BELK — Two juveniles were caught shoplifting socks.
    MEADOWLARK CIRCLE — A man reported the theft of an air compressor and trolling motor.

Arrests

Incidents
    RAILROAD BED ROAD — (Brooklet) Two people were riding bikes when they fell into a hole dug for a driveway. They stated both bikes were damaged beyond repair, and they suffered minor injuries.
    U.S. HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH — (Statesboro) A man reported a white 2003 BMW stolen, along with a handgun was stolen.
    PONDEROSA ROAD — (Portal) A man reported the theft of a log splitter, chain saws and tools.
    BAYGALL ROAD — (Portal) A man said mail, including mail-ordered baby clothes, was stolen.
    JOHN GODLEY ROAD — (Ellabell) A woman found cups and bottles with suspicious substances deputies suspect were home-made explosives. A deputy shot the bottles with a .22-caliber weapon to vent the pressure.
    TEE PEE WAY — (Statesboro) Someone stole a large quantity of meat from a freezer in a garage.
    ROLLINGWOODS WAY — (Statesboro) Two red umbrellas were stolen from cars. Another resident reported $20 taken from a vehicle. Yet a third U.S. Highway 80 West area resident reported cars were entered, but nothing taken. Another resident reported $75 stolen from a car.
    ZETWELL ROAD — A man reported a toolbox and Weed Eater stolen.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL POST 45
Arrests
    Blake Robert Bennett, 23, Macon — DUI (.207).
    Between Friday and Sunday, troopers issued three seat belt citations and 10 speeding citations.

Incidents
    Between Friday and Sunday, troopers issued five seat belt warnings and 52 speeding warnings, stopped 87 vehicles, investigated 10 crashes with one reported fatality and eight injuries, assisted three motorists and patrolled 1,886 miles.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
Arrests
    Officers issued eight traffic citations over the weekend.
    Nicholas Coleman Harville, 17, Lyons — open container and possession of alcohol by a person under 21.
    Brandon Derek Black, 18, Lawrenceville — underage possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct. 
    Kevin John Newbold, 18, Marietta — underage possession of alcohol, possession of drug related objects.
    Davis Ilan Zinzenheim, 18, Marietta — underage possession of alcohol.
    Dylan Michael Holmes, 18, Macon — underage possession of alcohol.

Incidents
    Over the past weekend, officers issued 13 traffic warnings and assisted 10 motorists.
    UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — Six students were sent for judicial review by GSU officials for alcohol violations after officers investigated a noise complaint.
    J LOT — Officers discovered three Georgia Southern students lying on the ground, under the influence of alcohol. They were judicially referred to university officials for alcohol violations. A 17-year-old was arrested for dispensing alcohol to others, including an underage person. Also, officers discovered an intoxicated person in J Lot attempting to fight persons who did not know him.  He was also arrested.
    EAGLE VILLAGE — An intoxicated man activated alarms and was sent to school officials for judicial review.  Three others were sent for review because of alcohol violations.
    SOUTHERN PINES — An injured person walking on Chandler Road near Parker’s was struck in the face by an unknown black male, injuring his lip and tooth. EMS transported the victim to East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
