STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Willie Frank Steele, 50, Miller Street Extension — wanted person, failure to appear.
    Shameira Nicole McCrae, 19, East Olliff Street — battery (domestic violence).
    Erline Pittman, 70, homeless (Statesboro) — criminal trespass.
    John Ernest Burton, 31, South Hull Street, Sylvania — driving while license suspended or revoked, speeding, seat belt violation.
    Christine Marie Burdek, 51, Stiles Inn — criminal trespass, parole violation.
    Gary Dale Joyner, 18, Lanier Drive — burglary.
    Phillip M. Smith, 19, Lanier Drive — burglary.
    Catherine Rebecca Cox, 27, Scotch Pines Avenue — DUI, failure to maintain lane.
   
Incidents
    THE FORUM AT STATESBORO — A life-size Marilyn Monroe cardboard cutout, a suitcase, a queen-size comforter, a toiletry bag, a blanket and $275 worth of clothing were stolen from an apartment.
    STATESBORO PLACE APARTMENTS — A woman said someone called her cellphone and told her she has viruses on her computer. The woman allowed the caller to remotely access her computer, but then shut it off when the caller got to the computer password.
    BLAKEWOOD APARTMENTS — A woman reported that her two nieces, one an adult and the other a juvenile, fought each other. The combatants were arrested.
    In a separate incident, a man reported that another man asked him for change for a $10 bill, and he granted the request. Later, he found out from a gas station that the bill was counterfeit.
    JOYCE STREET — A large tree limb fell on top of a vehicle parked at a residence, causing some damage.
    EAST JONES AVENUE — A man said that as he was walking on the street, three unknown black men attacked him, injuring him. A friend took him to the hospital.
    STADIUM PLACE APARTMENTS — A woman who had been evicted and served with criminal trespass on July 31 returned. She was arrested and taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
    WALMART — A bottle of Coach perfume was shoplifted.
    QUALITY INN AND SUITES — A woman reported that her debit card was stolen and used several times.
    RUDE RUDY’S — Someone stole a woman’s pocketbook with a wallet containing $200 cash and a debit card.
    GARDEN DISTRICT APARTMENTS — A woman said she received a check from an unknown person for work she had not done yet, and the check was more that what was agreed to be paid. The person with whom the woman spoke asked that the remaining funds be forwarded to his Realtor. When the woman tried to cash the check, the teller told her that she needed to call police because of possible fraudulent activity.
    THE LODGE OF STATESBORO — A woman was in an apartment and had previously been served with criminal trespass. She was arrested and taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
    PINE STREET — A woman who said a man drove by in a U-Haul truck and verbally threatened to harm her.
    WEST PARRISH STREET — A wooden TV armoire was stolen from a home.
    ST. JAMES PLACE APARTMENTS — Three males — two adults and a juvenile — were seen trying to break into an apartment. All three were arrested. The adults were taken to the Bulloch County Jail; the juvenile was taken to the Savannah Youth Detention Center.
    WEST JONES AVENUE EXTENSION — Two juveniles refused to follow their mother’s directions and struck each other. There were no visible injuries. The juveniles were arrested and turned back over to their parent.
    THE COVE AT SOUTHERN — A 32-inch black television was stolen from an apartment.
    LESTER ROAD — A branch broke off a tree, striking and damaging a vehicle parked at a residence.

Arrests
    David Alfred Stokes, Becky Drive — wanted person.
    Antonio Redell Hill, Foss Street — driving while license suspended or revoked.
    Michelle Marie Caver, Packinghouse Road — driving while license suspended or revoked.
    Bradley Phillip Davis, Georgia Highway 23 North, Millen — driving while license suspended or revoked.
    Steve Evans, Harden’s Landing Road — driving while license suspended or revoked, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce), possession and use of drug-related object.

Incidents
    BECKY DRIVE (Statesboro) — Two brothers got into an argument. One of the brothers was wanted by the Metter Police Department. He was taken into custody and turned over to Metter police.  
    LAKE COLLINS ROAD (Twin City) — A man said he moved out after ending a relationship with a woman. He said the woman had his lower false teeth plate and refused to give it back after he moved out. He said he did not wish for her to be arrested but said the plate is very expensive and that he needs it returned. A deputy was unable to reach the woman by phone.

    Officers issued no traffic warnings and assisted no motorists Thursday.
    PAULSON STADIUM — A pair of black frame prescription glasses were recovered.
    LANIER DRIVE — Two off-road motorcycles were seen speeding. They cut through an area near University Place, and an officer could not follow.
