    BROAD STREET — A man saw two people sitting in the bushes in his  yard around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday. They fled when he saw them.
    WALMART — A woman was arrested around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday after stuffing $115 worth of towels, salt and pepper shakers, dishes and other household items into shopping bags and leaving without paying for them.
    CAMBRIDGE AT SOUTHERN — Between January 15 and May 6, someone stole two pots valued at $5 each, a woman told police around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

    Officers issued one traffic citation and seven traffic warnings and assisted one motorist Tuesday.
    THE MARKET AT CENTENNIAL — Police investigated the report of a suspicious person at 11:08 a.m. Tuesday.
    COLLEGE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY —Officers responded to the report of a verbal dispute and disorderly person around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The person involved was gone upon officers arrival. 
    SOUTHERN COURTYARD — Officers investigated reports of four suspicious juveniles around 6:11 p.m. Tuesday, but they were gone upon the officer’s arrival and could not be located.
    WATSON PODS — Firefighters and police responded around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday to a call where a woman using a flat iron on her hair caused smoke, which set off the alarm.
    KAPPA ALPHA HOUSE — Officers responded around 4:48 a.m. Tuesday to a call about a trash can on fire in the back yard. The Statesboro Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
