Police report -5-23-16; A woman shoplifted $8 worth of hygiene items.

Statesboro Police Department
    SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — Someone stole a watch, $60 in cash and a necklace during a burglary.
    WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A woman was arrested for shoplifting a 32” TV priced at $150.
    In separate reports, the store received a number of counterfeit bills during recent transactions.
    MADISON MEADOWS — A man said someone he named as a suspect stole $600 from his pants pocket.
    BELK — A teenage male stuffed a $30 hat in his pants and left without paying. He was arrested. So was another male in a separate incident who shoplifted $100 worth of clothing.
    LANIER DRIVE — A woman said a man yelled at her and spit on her when she tried to retrieve her belongings.
    Also, someone in a separate incident reported the theft of a laptop computer, tablet and TV.
    CAMPUS CROSSING APARTMENTS — A vehicle used in a kidnapping incident in Bryan County was found at the apartment complex.
    DOLLAR GENERAL/NORTHSIDE DRIVE WEST — A woman shoplifted $8 worth of hygiene items.
    MIKE ANN DRIVE — A man who had been in a fight at a nearby restaurant told police he was beaten by several people. He was treated by EMS.
    CAMBRIDGE PALMS APARTMENTS — Police responded to a report of shots fired.
    PLANTATION VILLAGE — A woman said her boyfriend shattered a window during an argument.
    SOUTH MAIN STREET — A man reported the theft of a $50,000 vehicle with a $365 cooler, a $500 handgun, a $200 ladder and keys valued at $200.
    MILL CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — A student was detained for bringing a weapon to school.
