Deputies arrested someone on aggravated stalking charges.

▲ Kevin James Boykin, 40, Metter — probation violation.

▲ Teanda Moness Brinkley, 42, Statesboro — wanted person.

▲ Joe Benjamin Collins, 26, Metter — improper lane use. DUI/less safe, no license on person driving on the wrong side of the road.

▲ Joshua Cody Nesmith, 30, Ellabell — wanted person.

▲ Carlos Francisco Knight, 43, Dublin — suspended license.

▲ Christy Nicole Sheffield-Harden, 24, Metter — wanted person, probation violation.

▲ Michael Lance Willis, 29, Reidsville — DUI/drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine.

▲ Sharon Exley, 29, Savannah — wanted person.

▲ Jeremy Mosley, 29, Metter — first-degree cruelty to children, cruelty to animals, criminal damage to property.

▲ Rikki Carter, age unavailable, Metter — disorderly conduct.

▲ Divory Williams, 40, Lyons — aggravated stalking.

▲ Quincy London Hall, 18. Metter — theft by taking.

▲ Benjamin Smith, 37, Troy Street, Brooklet — felony burglary in the second degree, obstruction.

➤ Statesboro Fire Department

▲ From April 8-14, firefighters responded to the following 22 calls: 

▲ Two fires — A structure on Martin Swinson Road, automatic aid with Bulloch Fire. Mobile home fully involved, no injuries; one vehicle fire.

▲ Firefighters responded to 14 fire alarms and two smoke scares; one gas line damage on Northside Drive East; and performed four public relations/educational events (Spring Into Statesboro, Arts Fest, Relay for Life, one station tour).

▲ Requested reports were not submitted.


➤ Brooklet Police Department

▲ Officers issued the following citations:  two for stop sign violations; two for seat belt violations; one for suspended tag; one for giving false information; one for suspended license and two for speeding.

▲ Officers also responded to calls about private property damage, battery, disorderly conduct and a civil matter.

➤ Candler County Sheriff’s Department

▲ CREEKSIDE WAY — Someone reported a theft.

▲ NORTHEAST BROAD STREET — Deputies investigated a report of identity fraud.

▲ HIGHWAY 47 — Someone reported a case of disorderly conduct.

▲ KIGHT ROAD — Deputies arrested someone on aggravated stalking charges.

▲ HIGHWAY 23 — Someone reported violation of a restraining order.


➤ Register Police Department

▲ Officers issued the following citations last week:  one for expired registration; six for speeding; one for holding a cell phone while driving; three stop sign violations and one seat belt violation.


➤ Metter Police Department

▲ EAST LILLIAN STREET — Someone reported a person missing since October.

In a separate case officers responded to an animal and child cruelty case.

▲ EAST BROAD STREET — Police met with a man at the hospital regarding a domestic dispute with a female.

▲ PINELAND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH — Someone called police regarding disorderly conduct.

▲ SMITH STREET — Someone reported a domestic dispute involving simple battery.

➤ Portal Police Department

▲ Between April 11-18, officers responded to nine calls for service; issued seven traffic citations; issued nine warnings; performed four vehicle unlocks and several routine school and business safety checks.
