Statesboro Police Department

WAL-MART SUPERCENTER - A woman was charged with third-offense shoplifting after taking $10 worth of food and $20 worth of clothing.
WILDWOOD CIRCLE - Someone reported the theft of a red Buick Century.
LOVETT ROAD - Someone reported the theft of power tools and a tool box from a truck bed.
JACK IN THE BOX - Someone knocked a hole in the wall and took a safe containing $125,000.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
M.L. MILLER ROAD - A woman reported hearing a young male screaming. Deputies searched the area and found no one in distress, but others in the neighborhood reported the presence of "wild cats" in the area that sounds much like a child screaming.
LANGSTON CHAPEL/HARVILLE ROADS - A man falsely claimed that a truck, which had been involved in a wreck in which the driver fled the scene, was stolen. The man admitted he hadn't told the truth and was informed he could be charged with filing a false report, but due to health issues, he was cited for obstruction instead.
WOODY'S T-SHIRTS & SCRUBS - A man reported the theft of a golf cart and trailer.
DINK STATION ROAD - Someone damaged an old-fashioned TV antenna that was no longer in use by twisting and bending it.
PORTAL MIDDLE HIGH SCHOOL - A woman said her daughter had been physically mishandled and bullied by a male student, who pulled her by the arm across a hallway. Other girls had complained of the same, she said. The accused offender denied the act but said he had gotten into altercations with two girls within three weeks who bumped into him and "got in his face."
GEORGIA AVENUE - A woman sent $700 by MoneyGram to someone "with a case number and a badge number" who claimed to be an IRS agent. The caller threatened to lock her up if she hung up the phone or didn't send the cash.
BROOMSTRAW TRACE - A woman said a man hit her in the face twice with his hand, poured himself a drink and left.

Officers issued four traffic warnings and assisted three motorists Tuesday.
