Police report -3-18-18; Euthanized at animal shelter two dogs and 11 cats

Candler County Sheriff’s Office
    Jose Ramirez Martinez, 23, Metter — illegal lane usage, DUI.
    Joshua Bolling, 27, Powder Springs — DUI, reckless driving, speeding.
    Joseph F. Morin, 38, Metter — DUI.
    Lawrence Robert Bryant, 42, Cobbtown — suspended license, suspended registration, investigative hold.
    Ralph Matthew Furman, 31, Metter — aggravated assault.
    Antoine Marquis Wright, 25, Metter — felony probation violation.
    Antonio Maurice Braziel, 38, Metter — felony probation violation.
    Todd Richard Hirsch, 39, address unlisted — escape (apprehended).
    Sherry Renee Joiner, 38, Metter — cruelty to animals.

Portal Police Department
    Angel Perez, 18, Highway 80 West, Portal —theft by taking motor vehicle, first-degree criminal damage to property, underage possession of alcohol, obstruction, entering auto with intent to commit theft.

Candler County Sheriff’s Department
    AIRPORT ROAD — Deputies responded to the 1700 block in reference to third degree child cruelty, interference with a 911 call, criminal trespass, simple battery and violation of a family violence order.
    POSSUM PATH ROAD — Someone reported a residential burglary.
    HIGHWAY 129 — Deputies investigated reports of terroristic threats at Metter Middle School. A student was arrested.
    PULASKI SCHOOL ROAD — Someone reported financial transaction card fraud.
    EXCELSIOR CHURCH ROAD — A deputy charged a driver with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and operating an unregistered vehicle.
    ROSEMARY CHURCH ROAD — Deputies responded to a reported burglary and criminal trespass incident.
    Another person residing in a different area on this road also reported a burglary.

Metter Police Department
    PARKER’S #44 — Someone reported a debit transaction theft.
    HODGES STREET — Officers responded to a report of subjects fighting.
    NORTH KENNEDY STREET — Officers met with someone on East Lillian Street who wished to report a domestic dispute that happened on North Kennedy Street.
    NORTH TRAPNELL STREET — Someone reported someone making terroristic threats.
    FORTNER ROAD — Someone was reported missing.
    ELLIS STREET — Someone called 911 to report someone was struck in the head with a bottle. The call was routed through Bulloch County 911, who dispatched the call to police.
    RITE AID — Officers responded to a call about a suspected scam.
    BEVERICKS PARKING LOT — An officer responded to investigate reported suspicious activity.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    Surrendered by citizens — 18 dogs and four cats from rural areas; no dogs or cats from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by humane officers — four dogs and three cats from rural areas; two dogs and no cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — four adult dogs, two puppies, two adult cats, three kittens.
    Taken in by rescue organizations — seven adult dogs and 13 puppies; one cat.
    Reclaimed by owners — four dogs.
    Died at shelter — no animals.
    Euthanized — two dogs (aggressive and feral) and 11 cats (feral/upper respiratory infection).
    Fees collected — $329.75.
    Animals in shelter — 74 dogs and 36 cats.
