STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Shinte Latalist Thompson, 40, Institute Lane — probation violation.
    Griselda Odilon Gonzales, 20, Bird Road — driving without a valid license, following too closely, leaving the scene of an accident.

Incidents
    GROOVER HOMES — Two sisters argued over a television remote and someone called police.
    WEST INMAN STREET — A woman said a man who doesn’t live with her came into her home, struck her in the head, and took a TV and two  gaming systems. He has done it before and stole many items from her around Christmas, she said.
    SAVANNAH AVENUE — A woman pushed her cigarette lighter in, and her car began to smoke, catching fire.
    BB&T — A man said someone cashed a forged check for $1,371.
    BROAD STREET — A TV, PlayStation, computer, and video games were reported stolen. Someone forced a door open and entered the home.

BULLOCH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Arrests
    Randy Ray Allen Eunice, 23, Tillman Road — probation violation.
    Fred Warren Garner, 69, Old Carriage Trail — battery.
    Garfield Thomas Hendrix Jr., 31, Sirius Circle, Wilmington, N.C. — felony theft by taking.
    Anthony Phillip Taylor, 28, Eldora Road, Ellabell — probation violation.

Incidents
    MILL BRANCH CLUB ROAD — (Brooklet) A juvenile girl was arrested for cursing at her mother and being unruly. She was arrested another time for kicking her mother in the stomach.
    U.S. HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH/EPHESUS CHURCH ROAD — (Register) A man was arrested for DUI after found asleep behind his parked but running vehicle. He refused tests and argued that the deputy didn’t pull him over. He smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes, and admitted having had drinks at a Super Bowl party.
    SOUTHEAST BULLOCH MIDDLE SCHOOL — (Brooklet) A juvenile was arrested for stealing a purse.
    GEORGIA HIGHWAY 67 — (Statesboro) A man called deputies to report someone tried to put sugar in his gas tank. He said he just bought the vehicle and didn’t have any idea who would want to do such a thing.
    TWIN FORKS ROAD — (Nevils) A woman said her half brother harassed her by phone and threatened to remove headstones from her parents’ graves.
    OLD CARRIAGE TRAIL — (Statesboro) A man was arrested after a domestic dispute with his wife, during which he shoved her into a wall, she said. He denied doing so but said he tried to help her up, and she hit him in the head.

    KENNEDY HALL — A GSU employee checking fire extinguishers knocked on a door and heard someone threaten to shoot him if he continued knocking.
    EIDSEN ALUMNI HOUSE/GEORGIA AVENUE — A woman said $3,400 in checks and cash was missing from her desk.
    Officers issued two traffic warnings and assisted eight motorists Tuesday.
