ARRESTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    David Lavon King, 47, Poke Road — theft by taking motor vehicle.
    Michael Edwin Newton, 55, Troy Street, Brooklet — probation violation, theft of mislaid property.
    Marion Lamonte Wiggs, 38, Pine Street — fleeing/attempt to elude.
    James Kelsey Rock Jr., 23, Wilma Brown Road, Register — parole violation.
    Matthew Ronald Williams, 25, Hightower Road — no driver’s license.
 
INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

    GA. 24 — (Statesboro) A man complained of receiving harassing phone calls from someone who tried to pull a scam. The caller said he won money and tried to get him to send money to claim his prize.
    ELDORA CEMETERY ROAD — (Ellabell) A man stated a neighbor shot his pet pig.
    MCKELVEN POND ROAD — (Brooklet) A man reported suspicious males selling Dawn dish detergent door to door.

    Disobeying traffic control device — one.
    Driving while unlicensed — one.
    Speeding — one.
    Suspended license — one.
Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5:
    Surrendered by owners — nine dogs in rural county areas; one dog and one cat from City of Statesboro residents.
    Humane Enforcement pick-ups: Six dogs and four cats from rural areas; two dogs and one cat from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter —11 dogs and four cats.
    Reclaimed by owners — none.
    Died at shelter — one cat.
    Euthanized — 18 dogs and six cats.
    Fees collected — $595.
