INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police Department
    STILES INN — Someone reported the theft of $1,300.
    WHISPERING PINES BOULEVARD — A woman said another female came into her yard looking for her cat, and tried taking the complainant’s cat from her arms. The suspect then punched the complainant in the arm and chest, she said. The unknown woman then refused to leave the property until officers arrived and arrested her.
    WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A woman was arrested for shoplifting $40 worth of food.
    Also, in a separate incident, a man was arrested for criminal trespass after being found at Wal-Mart in spite of being banned. He left before police arrived, but officers found him at Bi-Lo, from where he had also been banned. He was charged with one count of criminal trespass for each location. The suspect has a history of similar charges in the Statesboro area.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    GATEWAY BOULEVARD/GREAT DANE — A man was telling children he was wanted out of Texas; he was in a motorcycle gang and he had a stolen car. Someone called deputies, who found the man’s car with a Florida plate that didn’t match the vehicle.  The man, an employee of the plant, was found to be telling the truth regarding the stolen vehicle and being wanted by Texas authorities. He was arrested and taken to jail.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued no traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.
