Statesboro Police Department

NASSAU DRIVE - Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a Glock handgun, a wallet and its contents, a backpack and textbooks.
HIGHWAY 67 - A man reported the theft of a gray 2001 Chevy Tahoe.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
BULLOCH ACADEMY - Statesboro-Bulloch County Crime Suppression Team members conducted a K-9 demonstration for Red Ribbon Week.
R.L. LEE EXTENSON - A woman said someone removed an air conditioner from a window and removed screens and panes from other windows.
JOHNSON RUN - Someone cut locks off a locked utility trailer and stole tools.
    Another complainant reported a similar trailer had been damaged by an attempted break-in, but nothing was taken.
    A third man reported the theft of tools from his trailer.
SNOOPY LANE - A woman said her boyfriend pushed her to the floor during a domestic argument.
PLEASANT HILL CHURCH ROAD - A man was driving to a Still Quarters Road location when a woman stepped out of the woods into his path. She asked for a ride, but he refused, so she ran back into the woods. A few moments later, a man driving a silver Toyota Corolla stopped him and said he was the girl's brother and that her boyfriend had just been killed and she was grieving. The complainant told deputies that the man was not who he said he was. He later found deputies at the Eldora Mall and told them where the suspicious man was, but the residence had a locked gate.
THOMPKIN DRIVE - A man reported a 9 mm handgun was missing after he had a large party at his home.
FAIR ROAD/VETERANS MEMORIAL PARKWAY - Two men were arrested for racing.
GROVE LAKES FAST STOP - A man bought two Cash Three Quick Pick lottery tickets, gave the cashier a $20 bill and waited for his change. She refused to give him change. He caused a scene, so she called deputies. The video camera was not working, and the cashier said she didn't remember how much money he had given her. She eventually agreed to refund the man's $20 but wanted him served with criminal trespass. The man said he would not be back to that store.
KNOB CREEK DRIVE - A woman told deputies that her husband was calling her names and being mean to her in front of his family. The man said they argued because he could not take her home because he had been drinking. She had already been driving, despite having a suspended license, and he was angry that she had arrived late to his brother's house.

Officers issued three traffic citations and eight traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.
