Police Report 11-08-11 - Man says wife tried to strike him with a car

STATESBORO POLICE
Arrests
    Drevon Javan Slaughter, 18, Ellenwood Drive — simple battery, underage possession of alcohol, public intoxication.
    Cedric Jerriod Williams, 31, Brampton Avenue — obstruction.

Incidents
    CAMPUS CLUB APARTMENTS — A man called police after his brother, intoxicated, punched him several times.
    JEWEL DRIVE — A man said his wife tried to strike him twice with their car during a dispute.
    BRAMPTON AVENUE — A man threatened another with a stick.
    THE POINTE AT SOUTHERN — A man reported being robbed at gunpoint in his apartment. He knew one man by nickname, he said.
    STADIUM WALK APARTMENTS — Several tenants reported broken windows, open windows, and other suspicious activity.
One person reported a digital camera, internet router and modem, and two rings stolen.

    PROCTOR STREET — A man reported a 1995 Burgundy Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra stolen. Another man reported a black 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass stolen as well from Winnelson, near the same Proctor Street location.
A man said he passed out from drinking at Platinum Lounge and woke up in the bathroom to find someone stole his wallet and cell phone.
Statesboro Police responded to several reports of fighting at Platinum Lounge. Officers on the scene with a traffic stop heard gunshots and later located a victim in the hospital. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and refused to prosecute. Three others were arrested for fighting in a separate incident around the same time, and a fourth man was arrested for not obeying police orders during an investigation.
    RUSTY’S TAVERN — A man said he was the victim of a pickpocket who took his wallet.
    CAMPUS CLUB — A woman reported the theft of a Mac Book and wallet.

BULLOCH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Arrests
    Weekend arrests will be published Wednesday.

Incidents
    HANNAH WAY/BURKHALTER PLANTATION — (Statesboro) A man was lying on his bed when someone fired a shot through his window that struck his foot. He was examined at the scene and later went to the hospital for treatment. Bulloch County Sheriff’s Chief Inv. Capt. Todd Hutchens is investigating.
    GA. 24 — (Statesboro) A woman reported the theft of jewelry.
    LEE AVENUE — (Register) A man called deputies to help remove his girlfriend who damaged a TV during a domestic dispute. The man said he wasn’t upset about the TV but wanted her gone because she flirted with another man online.
    GREENHAVEN MOBILE HOME PARK — Two laptop computers, walkie talkies and a jar of coins were reported stolen.

    Kara Peterson Neuhaus, 18, Watson Hall — underage possession of alcohol and obstruction.
    David William Buie, 54, Venson Road, Brooklet — disorderly conduct.
    Don Robert Cox, 54, Mountain Laurel Lane, Blowing Rock, N.C — disorderly conduct.
    Carol Cox, 54, Mountain Laurel Lane, Blowing Rock, N.C — disorderly conduct.
    Guempster Guillaume Jr., 18, Kennedy Hall — underage possession of alcohol.

    FRIDAY — Officers issued two traffic warnings, assisted nine motorists, responded to one alarm and investigated one accident.
    SATURDAY — Officers issued two traffic warnings, assisted two motorists and responded to two alarms.
    SUNDAY — Officers issued three traffic warnings, assisted one motorist and responded to one injured person.
    COLLEGE OF HEALTH/HUMAN SCIENCES — A wallet was taken from a car.
    RUSSELL UNION — Someone reported a wallet stolen.
    FAMILY/CONSUMER SCIENCE BUILDING — A balance scale was reported stolen.
    EAGLE VILLAGE — Two separate drug complaints were lodged. Also, someone reported a fight.
    KENNEDY HALL — Someone filed a drug complaint.
    SOUTHENR PINES — Police investigated a domestic dispute.
    RECREATION ACTIVITY CENTER — Someone stole a gym bag. In a separate incident someone reported the theft of a bike.
