INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ RAILROAD BED ROAD — A woman reported being victim of fraud. A caller contacted her via a number on her Mary Kay website asking to buy $350 worth of makeup. He said he accidentally sent her a check for $1,900 and wanted her to deposit that check and mail him back the difference. Then, he did it again and sent her far more money than necessary for a second order, and she sent the difference to him again. Later she learned the checks she deposited were fraudulent.

▲ NORTH JACKSON CIRCLE — A woman told deputies she was wrongfully evicted. Deputies advised her to seek magistrate assistance.

▲ SINKHOLE ROAD — A person was arrested on simple battery charges.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ BEST STREET — A man called police to report someone shot his house. No one was injured. Two shell casings were collected from the yard.

No other incidents were reported for Wednesday.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued 10 traffic citations and five traffic warnings and assisted two motorists.

▲ OLD REGISTER ROAD — Someone reported a suspicious person or activities.

▲ I.T. BUILDING — Officers investigated a reported theft.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — Someone reported a suspicious person or activities.

▲ EAGLE VILLAGE — A student was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over marijuana possession. The student was not criminally charged.

▲ G-LOT — A person was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug related objects.

▲ KENNEDY HALL — A student was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over marijuana possession. The student was not criminally charged.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — Someone was arrested on DUI and failure to maintain lane charges.
