▲ NEVILS GROVELAND ROAD — A man told deputies a white male wearing only black shorts, with a fresh scrape on his back, walked out of some woods onto his property and said he didn’t know where he was. The man, who gave the complainant a name, took off walking after he learned of his location and went back into the woods. The complainant then called deputies. Deputies responded but did not find the suspect.

▲ PEBBLESTONE COURT — A man said his vehicle was “rolled,” with toilet paper inside, as well as outside, and said toilet paper was strewn in trees all over the yard.

▲ HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH —  Someone reported the theft and unauthorized use of a financial transaction card.

▲ HOLLAND ROAD — A man found lying in the roadway was charged with public intoxication.

▲ STILSON-LEEFIELD ROAD — A man reported the theft of $4,780 worth of tools.

▲ TALONS LAKE — Deputies broke up a party after people complained of noise.

▲ THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK — Someone keyed a woman’s car and scratched the words “Dean mine” as well as a vulgar name into the paint. The victim said she dated a man named Dean many years ago but had no idea who could have damaged her car.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ SIMMONS ROAD — A woman said a man was yelling at her children while they played.

▲ NORTH MAIN STREET — A man said his ex-girlfriend slapped him in the face and kicked him in the genitals.

▲ HARVEY DRIVE — A woman falsely reported a “violent fight” with her boyfriend. When police handcuffed her during arrests for filing the false report. She resisted, and was also charged with obstruction.

▲ HAWTHORNE ROAD — A woman asked police to come investigate after she heard noises outside her house.

▲ GATA DRIVE — A man said another person threatened him.

▲ THE LODGE/INSTITUTE STREET — Six shell casings were found on the parking lot after people reported shots fired. No injuries were reported, and no suspects were found.

▲ CONE HOMES — A woman said a man physically assaulted her and damaged her vehicle. She was given information on talking warrants.

▲ CLAIRBORNE AVENUE — A woman said a man slapped her in the face.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A person was arrested after shoplifting about $550 worth of items — a mixer, TV stand and heating blanket.

▲ EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER — An intoxicated person who fled the hospital before police arrived was later captured by Georgia State Patrol troopers, and arrested.

▲ FAIR ROAD — A woman told police someone photographed her when she left work and got into her car.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued one traffic citation and two traffic warnings and assisted six motorists.

▲ KENNEDY HALL — Someone reported the theft of a bicycle.

In a separate incident officers investigated reported drug activity, and hindrance of an officer. No one was arrested Monday but the case remained active.

▲ O’NEAL DRIVE — A person was arrested on charges of pedestrian under the influence, obstruction and simple battery.

▲ BISHOP FIELDHOUSE — A person was injured. Reports released to the media did not include details.

▲ INTERDISCIPLINARY ACADEMIC BUILDING — Someone reported a suspicious person/activities.

▲ PAULSON STADIUM — Officers investigated reports of a suspicious person/activities.

▲ LAKESIDE DINING COMMONS — Officers responded to a report of an injured person.

▲ PAULSON MAINTENANCE — Someone reported a criminal trespass incident.
