Statesboro Police Department
    REED STREET — Police responding to an unwanted person call, listed in reports as aggravated stalking, pedestrian under the influence, and loitering/prowling, arrested a man on these charges.
    STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — Police responding to an unwanted person apprehended the man after he fled on foot. Reports did not give details about any physical attack, but listed the incident as "battery, loitering/prowling and criminal trespass."
    STADIUM WALK APARTMENTS — A man told police he argued with a wrecker driver about a towed vehicle, and the man pulled him from the vehicle and threw him to the ground several times. The wrecker driver said the complainant tried to close the car door on him, so
he pushed him away to
protect himself.
    ELM STREET — A man called police to report his ex-girlfriend and her sister were harassing him on Facebook.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued no traffic citations and two traffic warnings, as well as assisted two motorists.
    GEORGIA AVENUE — An officer saw a man stumbling up a hill behind some bushes and went to investigate. The man was found to be underage, intoxicated, and in possession of two false identification cards. He was arrested.
    COWART BUILDING/LANIER DRIVE — A man fled when police tried to talk to him in connection to a suspicious person report. He refused to obey orders, and fled. He was apprehended, and sprayed with OC spray after refusing to comply with orders to submit. He was charged with marijuana possession, obstruction and possession of drug related objects.
    DINING COMMONS — Someone reported a man with a bag that appeared to contain a gun. The "gun" was actually a painting stick, and the man was a painter.
    CHANDLER ROAD — Officers investigated the theft of a golf cart.
    PAULSON STADIUM — An officer saw a woman fall from a chair and investigated. She was found to be underage, intoxicated, and with a false ID.
    In another incident, a driver passed an officer, driving close to him, and raised an open can of beer in a gesture of greeting. When officers stopped the man, he accused them of singling him out when there were several others with open containers, but the officer told him he was stopped due to his "cheers" gesture.  The man was verbally abusive and cursed the officer, and was arrested.
    AKINS BOULEVARD — A speeding car caught the attention officers, who stopped the car and discovered marijuana, Xanax pills that the occupants did not have a prescription for, and stacks of opened and unopened prepaid VISA gift cards. The gift card case is under investigation, and the occupants were arrested on drug charges.
