▲ W.H. MORRIS ROAD — A woman said she saw three people leave the woods near her home. One had a handgun. They all got into a car and left, and she felt that was suspicious.

▲ OAK RIDGE DRIVE — Deputies responded to a reported entering auto incident.

▲ OLD FLAT FORD ROAD — A woman told deputies a man she once dated was harassing her by text and threatened to fight another man she dated.

▲ DRY BRANCH VILLAGE — A woman reported the theft of $400 and named a suspect.

▲ EMIT DEAL ROAD — A man reported being harassed by a woman with whom he was involved in the past.

▲ HIGHWAY 46 — A man called deputies when he found a safe in the roadway. Deputies recovered the safe, but there was no indication of to whom it belongs.

▲ THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK — A man was arrested on methamphetamine charges after he admitted kicking in a door. Deputies found meth and paraphernalia.

▲ SUNCREST DRIVE — A man said he saw a suspect letting air out of his tires. 

▲ HIGHWAY 80 EAST — A man was arrested on methamphetamine charges after deputies responded to a domestic dispute.

▲ MIDDLEGROUND ROAD — A woman reported the theft of a.22 caliber Ruger handgun.


➤ Statesboro Police Department 

▲ GARDEN DISTRICT — Warrants were issued for a person involved in a physical domestic dispute.

▲ INSTITUTE STREET — A woman was give advice on taking warrants after she said her son struck her in the face.

▲ THE GEORGE APARTMENTS — A woman said she received threatening calls.

▲ CROSSWINDS DRIVE — Warrants were issued for a person involved in a physical dispute.

▲ PINEWOOD COURT — Officers responded to a verbal dispute.

▲ THE VAULT APARTMENTS — Police received a tip about alleged drug activity.

▲ SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — A man was arrested on simple battery charges.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers responded to 23 crashes with 19 reported injuries and no fatalities. 

▲ Troopers also arrested eight drivers on DUI charges and issued 10 citations and two warnings for seat belt violations, one citation and one warning for child restraint violations, and 18 citations and 36 warnings for speeding.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Officers issued 14 traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted four motorists.

▲ HENDERSON LIBRARY — Someone reported a case of criminal trespass.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE — Someone was arrested on charges of underage possession of alcohol and obstruction.

In a second call, someone reported simple battery and harassing communications.

On a third call, someone else was judicially referred for drug violations.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — A person was cited for traffic violations and judicially referred to university authorities over a drug complaint.

▲ J-LOT — A person was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over alcohol violations.
