Pink Power Run next Saturday
Event to benefit breast cancer awareness, education

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Breast Cancer Foundation will hold the Pink Power Run next Saturday, March 28 at 8 a.m. The event will take place at the Recreation Activity Center Pavilion on Georgia Southern’s campus and is the organization’s fourth running of the 5K series.

The race is open to all fitness levels and people of all ages. Walkers, strollers and 4-legged friends also are welcome.  Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. Early Bird Registration is $25 per runner until race day. Georgia Southern students receive a $5 discount on the fee and must show an active student ID on race day to honor the discount. Teams of 10 or more runners also receive a $5 discount.

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Breast Cancer Foundation (SBCBCF) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization existing to provide awareness, education, and both emotional and financial support to the women affected by breast cancer in Bulloch County and surrounding counties.

At the race, there will be a photo booth, live music, costume contest, free food and the new “Pink Power Powder” where you and your friends can get “pinked out” in powder.

All Pink Power Run 5K proceeds benefit the Statesboro-Bulloch County Breast Cancer Foundation. Registration is also offered online at www.pinkpowerrun.com.
