Over 100 participated in the 2014 Zombie Run 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, October 25 to help raise funds for local health organizations, including the Bulloch Partnership for Health, the Georgia Southern University Rural Health Research Institute, the Mercer University Center for Rural Health and Health Disparities, and the Georgia Southern University Wellness Program.

Zombie-fied volunteers assisted 5K participants to kick off the event, then switched gears to become scary obstacles during the one-mile Fun Run. Participants, donning flag football-style belts, tried to navigate the course and avoid the chasing, flag-stealing zombies.

Prizes and lots of exercise were the rewards for participation.
