Optim Medical Center is proud to announce that Patrick Hanson, MD, will start seeing patients at the orthopedics clinic in Statesboro beginning Thursday.

Dr. Hanson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon providing comprehensive care in general orthopedics. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, he received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. Dr. Hanson completed his internship and residency at the Atlanta Medical Center Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

He treats a wide variety of conditions and injuries relating to and affecting the following areas: foot and ankle; knee; lower leg; hip and thigh; hand and elbow; and shoulder.

“We’re always excited about opportunities to expand our orthopedic services,” said Rob Snipes, CEO of Optim Medical Center-Tattnall. “An orthopedic surgeon with Dr. Hanson’s knowledge and passion is a great addition to our care team. His expertise in general orthopedics is important as Optim works toward meeting Bulloch County’s growing healthcare needs.”

A native of middle Georgia, Dr. Hanson is happy to be back in the area and is committed to providing the best care to the people of Bulloch County.

“I’m honored to join such an extraordinary group of providers,” he said. “It’s incredibly important for a community to have convenient access to high quality, patient-focused orthopedic care. Since my specialty is general orthopedics, I’m able to treat patients who have a wide range of conditions and that’s what I especially enjoy.”

Currently, Dr. Hanson is available to see patients on Thursday afternoons.
