Optim Health System announced Monday the appointment of Alex Villa as its new chief executive officer.
According to a release from Optim, Villa brings more than two decades of leadership experience within the healthcare industry.
Optim operates medical centers, surgery centers, orthopedic centers, pain management centers and rehabilitation center throughout southeast and central Georgia. In Statesboro, Optim offers orthopedic and pain management services at its offices on Fair Road.

Villa and his wife Chrystal met in college and have four children. He holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from California State University Northridge.
