Georgia Southern University students have organized a March for Our Lives event for 1 p.m. Saturday on the Statesboro campus. Like events of the same name in Washington, D.C., and around the world, the Statesboro march is a protest against mass shootings and other gun violence. It is part of a broader student-led movement, including walkouts by students in high school and younger, impelled by the Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
