Statesboro Police are actively looking for London Bell of Pamela Way in connection with a shooting Thursday afternoon in Statesboro.

According to a release from Capt. Jared Akins, SPD officers responded at 4:23 p.m. Thursday to a dirt lot on Pine Street in Statesboro for a Flock gunshot detection alert. 

“Officers discovered a 55-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg,” Akins said.  “They rendered aid until the arrival of Bulloch County EMS, who transported the victim to East Georgia from where he was flown to Memorial. His injuries are not expected to be life threatening.”

Detectives arrived at the scene and identified the 57-year-old Bell as the shooter. Bell is currently wanted on prior felony warrants and is now additionally charged with aggravated assault, Akins said.  The shooting appears to be a result of a personal dispute between the parties.
