A suspected bootlegger had more than 70 bottles of liquor, some beer and some cash in his possession when Statesboro police searched his West Main Street home Monday, police said. Several complaints by residents led to a police investigation into allegations that Clinton Jack Frost, 33, of West Main Street, was selling alcohol illegally, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said in a news release issued Tuesday. Statesboro police Maj. Scott Brunson, members of the police department's Crime Suppression Unit and Cpl. Eric Simms (K-9 unit), Cpl. Jake Saxon (Patrol), Advanced Patrol Officer Jeremy Glisson and Patrol Officer Ian Huggins served a search warrant at Frost's home Monday as a result of the investigation, Turner said.
