021113 GSU GUN DEBATE 01
Participants, including audience member Chase Davis, 18, of Swainsboro, left, and Zack Norman, 19, of Tifton, who was a panel member, continue the discussion informally after Monday's "Guns in America" debate between representatives of the Young Democrats and the College Republicans at Georgia Southern University's Russell Union.
A national debate centered on gun control spilled over Monday to the campus of Georgia Southern University, where student leaders hosted a forum to discuss the issue. About 40 people were on hand for a “Guns in America” debate between the Georgia Southern Young Democrats and College Republicans, held in the university’s Russell Union Theatre. The hourlong program reflected the ideological divide common among leaders in Washington, and people across the country, regarding tighter weapons regulations.
