Faculty, staff and students of Georgia Southern University will come together Wednesday morning for their annual Honors Day Convocation. Held at the Performing Arts Center, the university will honor their own with more than 200 awards, including Professor of the Year.

Senior chemistry major Callie Preast will deliver the Honors Day address, GSU President Bruce Grube will present the University System Academic Recognition Award and GSU Alumni Association President Terry Harvin will present the Alumni Association Award.

The awards ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. and classes at 8 and 9 a.m. are canceled so faculty and students can attend the event. A reception for those attending will follow immediately in the PAC atrium.
